Bespoke safety-focused adventure support

Risk Management

With decades of experience in emergency and humanitarian sectors, Sam has expertise in assessing and managing safety and security risks, first aid and medical evacuation for field activities and travel.

Our vehicles, procedures and equipment are built for safety and reliability when accessing remote areas. Based on your plans or itinerary, we offer safety guidance to your group and maintain ongoing support services as required.

We provide returning (drop off-pick up) clients with a Garmin InReach device and monitor for progress along trails according to plans.

Should medical emergency, problematic issue (think illness or blisters) or other challenge present challenges to your group, we can provide advice and guidance, or assist with transport out.

While we always plan to support a successful journey, Trackwork ensures that interruptions or emergencies can be managed, with your safety always of the utmost priority.

Supplies

During multi-day walks and rides along long distance trails, the weight of supplies and water creates a significant extra burden to already challenging journeys.

Trackwork works with you to develop and understand your itinerary, based on your intended distances, campsites and stopovers. With our access into these locations, we can obtain and pre-position supplies and water along the trails awaiting your arrival without having to carry it along the way.

This can include provision of meals from local providers for special nights with additional luxury, offering a morale boost and nourishment on a long distance expedition

In addition to developing supportive on-trail itineraries, we provide options for off-trail evenings or day trips based on your planned location, including taking you for a break in a nearby township before heading back.

Route planning

Over a life spent in the outdoors, and exploring the regions and trails across the Mid North of South Australia, Trackwork has in-depth knowledge of the main routes, weather, hazards, and sights

It can be difficult to plan travel in any vast region without prior understanding, while inadequate preparation leads to a miserable outcome, and ultimately presents safety risks.

We begin our planning process with a general discussion around your intentions and what you seek from a journey into the outback. From this, we can offer advice and means of support to ensure travellers and adventurers can focus on getting the most enjoyment possible from any journey.

Whether accompanied by Sam, independent with backup from us, on foot, bike or vehicle, our advice on route planning is based on localised knowledge and an ability to implement contingencies or targeted support where needed.

Transport

Sam has operated in remote environments across Australia and overseas, trained in off-road and defensive driving techniques, and is highly experienced in navigating road safety risks

With an impeccable driving history and having experienced the best and worst of rural and remote driving situations, we have many hundreds of thousands of kilometres of safe travel experience.

Licensed for special purpose tourism, our vehicles have been built, inspected and approved as chauffeured vehicles, and we are licensed for passenger transport operations. We enjoy the journey, and love nothing more than cruising along with good company, conversation and music while traversing majestic landscapes.

Every trip offers you an opportunity to unwind and enjoy the view, and we are both flexible and understanding of your needs along the way.
