Walker travel support

Trackwork supports bushwalking and trail running with on-demand and pre-arranged transport, for either semi-guided, independent or fully tailored experiences. Trackwork combines our decades of expert safety qualifications and professionalism, with localised knowledge of our famous trails, weather and other factors involved in outback travel, bushwalking and trail running. The Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Flinders Ranges feature numerous, well established trails from short to long distance.

We support motivated adventurers of all experience levels, on the long-range Heysen Trail, Lavender Federation Trail, Walk the Yorke, and other smaller walks in the heartland of South Australia. We can get you out and back, support along the way and be there should emergency situations arise. During transport of walkers to the trailhead, we can drop food, supplies and water at pre-determined locations in advance.

Short walking tours

Trackwork can access numerous shorter walks alongside the main trails through the most secluded regions of South Australia, in authentic and unique environments. These can be tailored to all ability levels and timeframes, including single day sections of major trails. Our primary focus is through the Tothill Ranges between Kapunda and Burra, through Mount Bryan and the forests of Bundaleer and Wirrabara.

Each unique in their own ways, we can help plan your exploration to include shorter walks across the region. Our historical knowledge and insights will provide you with background and context to your experiences along the way. All travel with Trackwork is supported with first aid training and capabilities, with contingency planning built into our operations. Should weather or disruption get in the way of intended plans, we are always happy to pivot the journey along the way to ensure good times continue.
